What we do

 Aims

The aim of the PTA is to help create closer links between the Home and School, as well as raising funds to enhance our children’s learning experience, by purchasing extra equipment and resources.

The PTA has raised many thousands of pounds and the Constitution of the PTA ensures that all monies raised are spent on things which directly benefit the students at the school.

As in most schools, the majority of our funds are raised through the events that we run. Some of the most popular events are ‘Quiz and Chips’, barn dances, fashion show, ladies shopping nights and we often get involved with the bi-annual School drama production.

The PTA also runs a 200-Club where for just £25 per annum, parents and staff have the opportunity of winning a prize every month whilst helping to fund extra equipment.

Parents are automatically members of the PTA and anyone can get involved – even if you only have a small amount of time. The important thing is that there is no commitment involved, all we ask is that if you can spare a little time, please get in touch.

Past Purchases

The PTA has spent thousands of pounds on extra resources that benefit the children. These resources have included playground furniture, table tennis equipment, stage curtains, assistance with the stage digital projector, music stands and chairs as well as Hockey kit and an outdoor Chess Set.

Current Purchases

The PTA is currently buying Audio/Visual equipment (first stage installed in the Library) which will ultimately help communication throughout the school.

Future Purchases

The PTA welcomes suggestions for future purchases from Parents as well as students – the main restriction is that we are not allowed to buy resources which would normally be the responsibility of the school, e.g. books or vital furniture.

More details here.

We are also asking for suggestions from the children themselves, via the School Council – so if you have any ideas please contact your Council representative!

PTA Meetings are held in the Music Room at 7:30pm on published dates.

You can contact the PTA by using our email Contact Form here or by telephone at the school office on 01455 292 244.
